The engineering task that I have no idea! We need an answer tonight pereferably (April 16)?
Basically, this is what my task says: "Using Internet / Library / textbooks, state and describe the method / principle of holding and machining of components or square-shaped irregular, using a lathe center. "I have until tomorrow to make the draft and I have no idea what to put, so if you can help would be very appreciated! Ta!
Typically items are held in a vise on a plate. This may be a collet (for 5C necklaces, for example) or three or four claws that can be self centered (all movements in the jaws and together) or independent, with each jaw can be moved individualy. Often, a balanced weight is added to ensure that everything runs without vibration. Parts can also be converted between schools.
